Ex-MP flays 'immature' MIC over flood remarks
DAP's former Teluk Intan MP, M Manogaran, today flayed MIC Youth for being "immature" in calling the Kelantan PAS state government "useless" for not managing to deal with the flood situation in the state.
DAP's former Teluk Intan MP, M Manogaran, today flayed MIC Youth for being "immature" in calling the Kelantan PAS state government "useless" for not managing to deal with the flood situation in the state.
"Firstly, no one should use the flood situation to gain political mileage, or for that matter, any situation where the people are suffering and are in a vulnerable position," Manogaran ( left in photo ) said in a statement today.
"This kind of reasoning is flawed, skewed, and shows how immature MIC is," he stressed.
MIC Youth had called the floods a game-changer, and urged BN to grab the opportunity to seize Kelantan back from PAS in the next elections.
"Such suggestions by MIC Youth shows a scant regard for the future of politics in this country, where politicians are still narrow-minded," Manogaran added.
"We must move away from the politics of using any means to achieve the end result," he noted.
He asked MIC to stop taking people "for granted", and instead urged them to help people without any expectations during disasters.
