Mahathir, name those non-Malay ‘extremists’
YOURSAY ‘This is like saying Martin Luther King and Gandhi were extremist.’
No rift, Dr M still tangos to Perkasa's tune
Anonymous_1421406986: I know of some loose cannons among non-Malays, but am yet to know of one who is an outright extremist. Can the former PM be kind enough to mention a few names for the benefit of the rakyat?
If Perkasa and Isma are truly for the Malays and racial unity, why is it being ignored by many Malays in PAS, PKR, Umno?
Where is the difference between Perkasa and the Malay-based political parties?
Fairnsquare: Mahathir, when and which non-Malay group challenged the rights of the Malays? The non-Malays fought for their rights but they never questioned Malay rights.
You created the ‘ketuanan’ culture and a ‘shiok sendiri’ mentality, while you and your cronies enriched yourselves at the expense of the Malays and the NEP (New Economic Policy).
Vijay47: Mahathir, I can understand that when you approach a century, in age not cricket, the neurons tend to falter, the synapses fail, as do the glia - the cells, not ‘gila’ the mental ailment.
Your mind loses its grasp of reality, if ever it had one, and the infallibility of megalomania sets in with greater fury. But fret not, such, alas, is the toll you now have to pay though your familiarity is with another favoured genus of toll.
You charge that non-Malays challenge Malay rights, a revelation we would welcome any evidence of.
Perhaps you view that asking for what is guaranteed by that useless paper referred to as the constitution is an affront to Malay sensitivities as also must be the case when non-Malays have the gall to refuse to be bullied and abused by the rabble you proudly call your friends.
Ironically, it must be poetic justice that those who now walk with you are Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali and allies. The latter is living affirmation that frailty of lucidity often afflicts even before 90.
Survivor: Dr M, there is some kind of denial here. When Perkasa first has its inaugural meeting, you were a patron. And you continue to remain a patron.
And because you are Perkasa patron, many bigots joined the NGO. And because you are Perkasa patron, very few in Umno Baru dare to challenge it. Not even PM Najib Razak.
The facts remain that there is no extremist view amongst non-Malays. They are just seeking for equitable and fair treatment. Extremism or enemies are created by Umno Baru and other NGOs, particularly Perkasa, to justify their existence.
Perkasa itself is an extremist organisation created after the 2008 GE with the aim of causing inter-ethnic animosity.
SRMan: Ex-PM Mahathir has gone through a full cycle. In the 60s and early 70s, he was labelled an 'ultra' (called extremist now), then somewhat became a 'moderate' when he was roped into the cabinet in the mid-70s.
And now out of it, he has gone back to his usual 'extremist' self. Do not expect him to sever his ties with the bigot organisation, Perkasa. A leopard doesn't change its spots.
Legit: Mahathir, go and read John Malott's piece in Malaysiakini . If you do not understand, read again.

His article explains how the elite Malays are fleecing the poor Malays by always blaming the non-Malays just like what the white elites did to the poor whites by blaming the blacks.
Vent: What an idiot this ex-PM is, to blame the non-Malays of creating instability by "crossing the line".
Life has never been so good for the people. These extreme fanatics fail to realise that there is a very high level of racial tolerance among the non-Malays who generally do not question Malay rights; these rights have been sensibly accepted, not challenged.
Progressive: "Extreme views of non-Malays?" Really Dr M?
When 98 percent of civil service is from your race, and with apartheid-like policies instituted by you yourself. Get real man.
This is our country and we will fight to the very end for equality and non-discrimination and we do not need anyone's bloody permission, including yours to do so.
Being labeled extremist by you is like saying Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi were extremist.
Anonymous #55961902: Non-Malays are only defending their rights whenever they are being challenged.
Please do not equate defending non-Malays rights to challenging the rights of the Malays. The non-Malays know their boundaries and are not so stupid to question what is enshrined in the constitution.
ACR: Extremist views of non-Malays to be read as: those who point out about corruption and highlight that the Malay agenda over 45 years had enriched cronies despite the slogan, 'untuk bangsa, agama dan negara'
Wira: I think there are more tales from Umno and their outsourced parties about non-Malays questioning the special position of the Malays than what is actually happening.
The uninformed must be brainwashed to believe that they are under siege from others.
