History will be judge of Altantuya murder

YOURSAY ‘There has to be accountability in our gov’t and authorities.’

Who ordered the ‘hit’ on Altantuya?

CQ Muar: Yes, it is reasonable to infer that PM Najib Abdul Razak's former aide de camp, DSP Musa Safri, gave the order at the advice of someone high above or his superior.

Therefore, this clearly explained why his testimony was totally shut out to prevent the subsequent revelation of the truth.

As such, Musa must now come forward or be hauled up to testify - regardless of any possible threat, pressure from his boss, the inspector-general of police (IGP) or even the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

Facts relating to the murder must be established and revealed in order that justice be fairly carried out, and those responsible nabbed irrespective of their positions.

At this point, we wish to acknowledge our appreciation for such excellent research... thank you, John R Malott.

Vijay47: Not that I wish to deprecate former US ambassador John Malott's piece, but it does not reveal any new truths or thoughts to me.

It lists - in the simple, lucid and captivating style that Malott is known for - the numerous doubts, questions and bewilderment that Malaysians have been going through since that dark murderous night.

Perhaps in the interests of keeping his article succinct, Malott did not mention several other incriminating and revealing items. For example, what did Abdul Razak Baginda's wife mean when she screeched outside the court that "my husband has no ambitions of becoming prime minister"?

For a crime that was supposedly unrelated to Najib, what was his brother doing discussing matters with the late private investigator P Balasubramaniam, when the usual reaction would be to steer clear of any dirty work one has no business in?

While it may be comforting and a desperate hope that criminals will one day receive divine retribution, we mere vengeful mortals prefer that perpetrators of murder most foul enjoy their just desserts during our lifetime and theirs.

Dalvik: Malott, thanks for the article. But you missed out one important ingredient in this entire case: C4 bomb that was used to exterminate the victim.

How could the murderers have access to it?

Wg321: Azilah Hadri is an inspector and Sirul Azhar Umar is a corporal. Sirul took orders from Azilah. If you studied the confession of Sirul, it was Azilah who told Sirul that they will be rewarded RM50,000 to RM100,000 to kill Altantuya.

Initially, the C4 explosives were kept in Sirul’s house. At first, Azilah ordered Sirul to kill Altantuyu and her two friends in their room in Hotel Malaya but Sirul protested because of CCTV.

That night when Altantuya was behaving like a vampire in front of Abdul Razak Baginda’s house, Altantuya was forced into Azilah’s car driven by his girlfriend. This was witnessed by PI Bala.

Later she was moved to Sirul’s jeep. But before that, Sirul drove his jeep back to his house to get the C4 explosives before going to Puncak Alam to blow her up into small pieces after shooting her twice. It was a pre-planned murder but by who?

MingXiang: Why express shock only at Azilah's readiness to “finish off” Altantuya Shaariibuu? Why didn't Abdul Razak protest and tell Azilah to perish that thought? Why couldn't he ask his good friend, the then defence minister, to give orders that there should not to be any killing?

Maybe Abdul Razak thought it wasn’t a bad idea after all, so long as he did not have to do the dirty work.

After lying low for seven years, Abdul Razak then emerged to give his opinion that the murder was a straightforward one committed by two rogue cops.

Yeah, right! Like we were all born the day before yesterday.

Multi Racial: What about the immigration records of Altantuya which were deleted? Surely it is not so easy to delete such records?

So, who in the Immigration Department ordered these records to be deleted? Who did he or she receive the order from?

Tracing the individual who gave the order to delete Altantuya’s immigration records will lead us to the mastermind.

FairMind: Reading from the inspector-general of police’s (IGP) comment that the police investigation covered all angles and that the investigation papers were handed over to the attorney-general (AG), it would appear that it was the AG who had covered up the motive to save someone.

The AG would also be the one responsible for mysteriously changing the prosecution lawyers at the last minute, and instructing the lawyers not to question the PM or Musa. So, it is clear who is complicit in the murder cover-up of Altantuya.

History will judge that this is by far the most manipulative AG in the whole history of Malaysia, having been behind almost everything wrong with Malaysia - such as the religious row, Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy cases, high-profile murder cases, deaths in custody, sedition, and cases which have been prevented from going to court.

His reign is as long as the longest-serving PM of Malaysia, and his evil effect on Malaysia is no less. History will be the judge.
