Police are on the hunt for PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad for organising the Kita Lawan rally in solidarity with jailed Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur last Saturday.

He evaded arrest at today's rally at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman when his supporters pulled him away, sparking a brief altercation in front of the Dang Wangi police station.

Some 70 people had gathered at the police station when activist Adam Adli Abdul Halim was taken there after being arrested at today's rally.

The law student was arrested at about 5.25pm after he gave a speech, under Section 143 of the Penal Code which deals with unlawful assembly.

Adam Adli (left) was arrested for a speech he made at last Saturday's Kita Lawan demonstration, and for organising the rallies.

At about 6pm, PKR supreme council member Fariz Musa was arrested in front of Pertama Shopping Complex under the same Section.

Both were taken to the Jinjang police station, where supporters will gather tonight in solidarity.

The rally today saw several speeches and a lion dance to commemorate the Chinese New Year.

Among those at the protest today were Anwar's daughter Nurul Nuha.

The afternoon rally, which started at around 4.50pm today, also saw Simpang Pulai state assemblyperson Tan Kar Hing in attendance.

Around five police officers in uniform as well as 10 others, believed to be in plain clothes, were monitoring the gathering.
