Wanted: Producers, journalists

The spectacular growth was achieved with just a crew of 14 people, led by CEO Yong Kai Ping and head of content Tham Seen Hau.

KiniTV has managed to achieve phenomenal viewership and revolutionised Internet video production for the past two years, especially when it comes to breaking news. Our aim is to make KiniTV the biggest Internet TV site in Malaysia and Southeast Asia,” said Yong.

“Our latest news in brief programme in three languages - English, Malay and Chinese - had received an enthusiastic response from the viewers who wanted us to broadcast hourly in order to match BBC and CNN.”

Due to the increased viewership, KiniTV is also looking to multiply its programmes by producing other genre of programmes such as business and entrepreneur interviews, women’s programme, cultural and arts performance events, tourism and heritage, sports as well as product placement or lifestyle.

“We are looking for quality content contributors and are willing to offer our new state-of-the-art 1,000-sq-ft studio and huge audience base for all to grow together,” said Yong.

To further grow its popular English and Malay division, KiniTV is looking to hire more producers and journalists.
