Activist Adam Adli's father dies in accident

Abdul Halim ( with Adam [right] in pix below ) who previously worked at Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd, was involved in a motorbike accident in Penaga, Penang, last night and was hospitalised in critical condition at Hospital Seberang Perai.
He will be buried at Kepala Batas after Friday prayers, said Adam Adli.
Abd Halim, 54, was a strong supporter of his eldest son, a well-known student activist who has been arrested on numerous occasions.
Adam Adli came into the media spotlight after the former Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris student removed a flag depicting Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak at the Umno headquarters several years ago.
As a result of that he was expelled by the teachers training college where he was studying. Adam Adli is currently pursuing a law degree at Brickfields Asia College.
'Proud of him'
Abdul Halim had spoken to Malaysiakini on July 29, 2013 after posting bail for Adam who was then charged with participating in an unlawful rally and for rioting in Parliament.
