PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang today reiterated that he is still with Pakatan, at least for now.
" Sekarang masih dengan Pakatan (Now I'm still with Pakatan)," he said when quizzed by reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
When asked to comment on the possibility of Pakatan dissolving soon, Hadi said he did not know.
"Maybe (it will dissolve), I don't know. Maybe in the future. I don't know if I'll be alive or not tomorrow either.
"I am focussing on the PAS elections," he added.
The PAS elections are set to be held in Kuala Selangor two weeks from now, with Hadi's faction expected to win big.
DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang has expressed fears that in that two weeks, Pakatan could meet its demise.
When asked if PAS is ready to stand alone, Hadi said that's not what the party actually wanted.
"Our concept is that we must be with Malaysia's plural society, we can't be alone," he said.
Heart of the matter
He also took a wait-and-see stance when asked how he would solve the Pakatan crisis.
When asked, the incumbent PAS president brushed off DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng's remarks that his (Hadi's) heart was with Umno.
"He doesn't know what is in my heart, I don't know what is in his heart. How can we know what is in someone's heart?" he asked.
Yesterday, Lim ( photo ) had said Hadi's reluctance to support PKR President Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail showed his intention to be with Umno.
"Not only did Hadi not attend the Permatang Pauh by-election campaign, he didn't openly express support for Wan Azizah.
"This shows while he is physically still with Pakatan Rakyat, his heart is with Umno," he said.
