Hadi wants to bed allies, but dreams of Umno

YOURSAY 'Why a coalition if all can pursue whatever agenda that suits them?'

Hadi: PAS with Pakatan, but will go solo on hudud

Aries46: This is typical of the opportunistic PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang - he wants cooperation with Pakatan Rakyat provided he has the freedom to screw its partners at his whims and fancies.

Is he bonkers? Why a coalition if the parties can pursue whatever agenda that suits them? Does he take the voters to be stupid?

After being exposed and caught with his pants down over the slew of betrayals to the Pakatan cause and the eventual hudud manoeuvre with arch-rival Umno - the mother of all betrayals that brought Pakatan to its knees - his current concession of ‘conditional cooperation’ is not only ridiculous and insulting, but a slap in the face of all voters that were hoodwinked by his previously hawked empty ‘welfare state’ and 'PAS for all’ agenda.

Hadi has lost credibility to stay on in Pakatan even without conditions, and his lingering on purely for political expediency is more detrimental to PKR and DAP than it is for PAS, as its extremism has been exposed and it has burned its bridges in no uncertain manner.

6th Generation Immigrant: Hadi's policy is the universal adage - to have one's cake and eat it too - and those with intelligence can tell you all that it cannot, and will not, happen.

People of Selangor: What Hadi wants to say is he wants 50 percent cooperation with Pakatan Rakyat in certain common areas and 50 percent cooperation with BN-Umno in other common areas such as hudud and so on.

Nil: Hadi said that "other goals are to be championed by the other Pakatan parties on their own". A divided "partnership" is not a partnership. A true partrnership should be on an 'all for one, and one for all' basis. You cannot agree to disagree.

Thinking Citizen_1403620863: In short, Hadi wants the people to continue to vote for PAS under Pakatan and continue to turn Malaysia into a Taliban state at the same time.

Hello, people vote for Pakatan because of their collective policies and aspirations. The other communities are not interested in your Talibanisation of Malaysia.

So you all might as well retreat back to the north and stay there, because the other communities will not vote for Pakatan if your party is part of the coalition.

Anonymous #559621516 : "Fighting oppression, corruption, and leakages; transparent governance"?

Hadi, you and your men are clueless about 1MDB and the wastage and lack of transparency in government, so what are you talking about?

All I know is you supported PM Najib Razak over 1MDB and this is called fighting corruption and fighting for greater transparency?

Odysseus: Hadi's statement is an indication PAS cannot survive on its own after blowing all that hot air. Even if they decide to stay with Pakatan, the damage has been done. Their true colours have been seen by all.

There can be only one single mission and purpose in an organisation. You cannot be a member of an organisation for certain objectives and do other stuff which contradicts the work of your other members.

Tholu: Despite claiming to have its political ideology strongly founded on Islamic principles, its words and actions seem more to exhibit a secular and mundane disposition.

PAS should either wholly subscribe to Pakatan’s common policy platform which focuses on, inter alia, true democracy, sustainable economy and social justice - not just agreement on parliament and state seat allocations - or go solo.

PAS is only interested in keeping its present quota of MPs and state assemblypersons in Parliament and the state assemblies respectively. And it knows that it can only achieve that by cooperating with DAP.

It appears to have become a greedy, unscrupulous and a soulless political party bereft of its self-acclaimed religious principles. How do you trust a person who says he will work with DAP but at the same time want Najib to remain the PM?

DAP, harbour no fear of possible regrets afterwards and break off from the hypocrite, ungrateful and backstabbing PAS. PKR, you should too.

Dont Just Talk: Hadi, the non-Muslim voters will tell your party to take a hike this coming 14th general election.

All your ulama may have won their votes, sitting on the pedestal of PAS' supreme council, but they will be totally rejected by urban and suburban voters, unlike the 13th GE when PAS was with Pakatan.

With your shallow-minded thinking, your party's hopes to make you the PM of Malaysia... please do not make my feet laugh.

There is no need for a conditional nod to Pakatan, just pull out from Pakatan and watch where PAS will end up after the 14th GE. PAS will be lucky if the party can still retain Kelantan.

Tell the Truth: Hadi, no need to stay in Pakatan. As far as the non-Muslims are concerned, PAS is dead. You don't have to stay in Pakatan hoping the non-Muslims would ever vote for you ever again.

They are only hoping PasMa will be bold enough to leave PAS and form their own party. Guess where all the non-Muslim votes will be going to?

So Hadi, go ahead and gloat on your narrow-minded victory. Enjoy it while you can. In the next GE, you will be the first to be kicked out.

Guess what? Between Umno and PAS, the non-Muslims will be choosing Umno if there is no choice. You will be at the bottom of the list. Once again, you will be in political wilderness.

Righteous: Hadi, your idea of 'tahaluf siyasi' is no better than a husband and wife sleeping in the same bed, but wishing they were somewhere else with another person.

So much for your presidential speech. Fifa president Sepp Blatter did the right thing in quitting .
