Is Nazir taking a jab at Najib too?

Nazir Razak, the younger brother of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, has once again made an Instagram post that has set tongues wagging.

At about 2.30pm, Nazir posted an image with building blocks spelling the word "Trust".

Given that the post came just a few hours after Najib's no-show at a much-anticipated public forum, some Instragram users begin wondering if this was more than a cooincidence.

Nazir explained he had recently told students that "TRUST" is the most important ingredient of leadership.

"If there is no trust there will be no genuine followers," he wrote.

This led some of his Instragram followers to make remarks related to the forum, which was dubbed "Nothing to hide".

"Trust has been broken, transparency is overshadowed by obscurity #somethingtohide," wrote Instagram user hafiz_fazillah.

"Hahaha #nothing2hide," wrote aiman.mohamad.

Second incident

Najib had given the "Nothing to hide" dialogue with NGOs a miss after receiving instructions from the police to do so due to security concerns.

Organisers for the event then invited Dr Mahathir Mohamad - Najib's chief critic - to speak instead.

Mahathir wasted no time in launching another broadside against Najib and accused him of disregarding the wishes of the Terengganu palace, with regards to Terengganu Investment Authority - 1MDB's predecessor.

However, the police cut short Mahathir's speech. No reason was given.

This was not the first time Nazir's Instagram post has been treated as a political message, given that he has been critical of 1MDB.

In April, Nazir posted a photograph of Michael Jackson's "You are not alone" singles cover.

Many netizens found the timing of this Instagram post amusing , because it was uploaded around the time when Mahathir claimed that he was " alone " in his criticism of Putrajaya's handling of 1MDB.
