YOURSAY ‘Don't whack here, whack there, no need for crude gangster talk.’

Whack me face to face, Nazri dares netizens

With the hope for better Malaysia: Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail could be a member of royalty and above the law. But he has the same concerns regarding the 'mother of all scandals', that former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has, that are the same concerns of the ordinary Malaysian citizen, which is the talk of town everywhere.

It is crucial that questions these regarding the 'mother of all scandals' be answered, the sooner the better, as the confidence the rakyat has is fast deteriorating. Kudos to Tunku Ismail for speaking out his mind. Daulat Tuanku.

Game Changer: Nazri, pick on someone your own size. The fight is between you and the Tunku Mahkota Johor. Now you are trying to pick on little netizens to show off your power?

Prove your worth, go head to head with Tunku Mahkota if you dare. Come down to Johor and face the music of the Johorians behind Tunku Mahkota.

M ushiro: The problem is between Nazri and Tunku Mahkota Johor. Nazri thought it would be an easy fix, but it backfired. Now to save his face, he is challenging the netizens.

Robert O'Neil: Don't whack here, whack there, this is not a Tamil movie and certainly no ‘Sivaji the Boss’ culture is needed. Malaysia is still a third class nation, please stop this ‘whacking’ culture and help us to improve.

Birdseye : Premier Najib Abdul Razak, you better whack Culture and Tourism Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz before Umno gets whacked in Johor. I wonder what kind words will be said by the Sultan of Johor, especially regarding the part that implies the family needs to understand who their protectors are.

Behave or else! There is zero decorum from this minister who claims to be intellectually superior to people who hammer their keyboards.

Visu: Dear minister, your language is the issue. There is a difference when one makes a factual comment and an emotional one. The word "whack" carries an emotionally derogatory meaning especially when it is applied to royalty.

It is crude gangster-like talk very insolent and totally unacceptable at your level. After all when Najib reneged on the sedition act, he made it clear that one of the reasons was to protect the royalty from contempt. Can you see that your remark does in fact insult the royalty and is contemptuous?

Rubicon: "Who are the people whom he depends on to protect his family..." Protect against whom, Nazri?

EYespye: Nazri, you are underestimating the ability of the people and their royalty to make life a living hell for Umno. Imagine the situation if you will, if the sultans of Perak, Selangor and Johor reject Umno in the coming general election. Umno will be screwed.

Vgeorgemy: If Perak Umno is so concerned about the attire of MPs attending the state assembly. they must call the assembly to condemn Nazri’s uncultured attitude towards the rakyat and royalty.

Firestone: Nazri - talk is cheap. Go to Pasir Pelangi and go face to face with the tiger.

Do the Right Thing: MPs are elected by rakyat and supposed to protect the interest of rakyat. How many MPs are raising their concerns publicly regarding 1MDB on behalf of rakyat?

When Mahathir raised questions , he was prevented from speaking. When the Johor royalty made a comment, he was threatened to be whacked. How are the interests of the rakyat (the collective owners of Malaysia) be protected?

Anonymous #21828131: Clear double standards by IGP. Tony Pua was investigated immediately while regarding this guy who wants to "whack" royalty, the IGP is quiet as a church mouse. What happened? This is clear proof of double standards.

Fair Play: The more he riles the netizens, the greater the disdain he gets from them.

Kangkung: How come a remark "Royal, my foot" landed someone in trouble with the police but when an Umno minister wants to whack a royal there's no tweet from the Ketua Twitter Negara?

Vent: Whether or not the royals are used by Umno or to shoot at Umno, the point of the matter is that rulers and their spoilt offspring should stay above politics.

As for politicians, those who voted for them will rue the day they did. Sadly as Maistre observed 'Every nation gets the government it deserves'.

Onyourtoes: How dare we face you face to face? You are a terror minister who dares to even whack the prince. Who are we; we may get clobbered, man.

Kilgore: We have a lowlife thug as culture minister. What does that say about the country?

Dis Fed-up Man: Minister or ordinary man on the street, one should know that humility in each case is an essential quality to be respected and looked up to. Harsh words and violent outbursts will lead you nowhere.

Rick Teo: Nazri, no one really cares about your opinion, which on most occasions does not deserve any comment. You should at least have the courage to praise the prince being honest and forthright in his comments instead of castigating him.

At least the prince has the courage to call spade a spade rather than pretend to follow like a herd of wild buffaloes.

Ah Hoe: I fully support the minister who has been absolutely right that royalty should not be involved with politics.

Politics is a dirty grubby game that should be left to dirty grubby politicians. Royalty should stay above the muck so that we can continue to respect them as being impartial and above the rot, and our beloved constitutional heads of states.

But if the young prince wants to be involved in politics, then he and his dad should not be surprised nor offended when the rakyat treat him like how they treat politicians (of any side) - like opportunistic scum whose words should never be trusted.

Haveagreatday: I commend you for this dare, Nazri. But don't make it an insincere offer. The Tunku Mahkota has indicated he wants you to bring it on - so arrange a place and time, so that the rakyat can see how well you can carry yourselves in public.

Anonymous_1386743292: He told Najib not to entertain Mahathir because he is a nobody but now he wants to challenge us face to face although we are nobody, politically.

Horas: Now Nazri wants to talk about how people who say he is ungrateful, have low intelligence? Now what was Umno’s mantra when they were trying to rally the Malays against the Chinese?

Was that not the mantra - that the Chinese are ungrateful? Stop being a hypocrite, Nazri. By the way, did the crown prince join a political party? Did he run for political office? Did he meddle with who should be the menteri besar?

No , he just gave his opinion and to now say the royalty are not allowed an opinion is a new progression in Umno politics (of course they are allowed an opinion if they are against the opposition but if they critisise Umno, well then that's a whole new kettle of fish now isn't it?).

Apacerita : This is the man who said that it will be degrading for a PM to debate an ordinary folk but he is degrading himself as a MB challenging the ordinary folk.

The Mask: I am still waiting for the IGP's response to Nazri's threat to whack the prince. Also, where is Perkasa and Isma who are always the first to come to the defence of the royalty? Not a word from these people, and Tony Pua is being hauled up for using "royal, my foot?"

Since Nazri has issued a challenge to meet face to face with netizens, would he then arrange a meeting place? If left to netizens to arrange a place, then would he come to a balai raya or a coffee shop stall?

By the way, you don’t seem to be consistent with what you say. On one hand you don’t care a hoot, but on the other hand you want to meet face to face to answer the critics. This is a profile of a confused and frightened person.

Vijay47: Okay, Nazri, I accept your challenge. I am willing to face you one-to-one anywhere, anytime. But don't bring your son along.
