Zahid: M'sians told Justo to manipulate facts

Several Malaysians had purportedly asked former PetroSaudi International staff Xavier Andre Justo to manipulate facts, claimed Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Therefore, he said several Malaysians may be extradited to Thailand over the matter.

Zahid claimed these individuals may have asked Justo to manipulate the information which was to be passed on to whistleblower portal Sarawak Report.

"During interrogation, Justo ( left ) mentioned names of several Malaysians who supposedly asked to manipulate facts from the information that was downloaded from PetroSaudi's communication system.

"If Thailand authorities have enough information, the probability of us extraditing any Malaysian personalities wouldn't arise while on the other hand, we will know who these individuals are, if the request is made," he was quoted as saying by The Star in Malacca last night.

Zahid said preliminary feedback received from his ministry indicated that some Malaysians may be called up to facilitate the probe.

However, he noted there had yet to be any official request for extradition.

PSI's leaked information, which included email communication with 1MDB, had cause the latter to be embroiled in controversy as it showed money it paid to PSI being channelled to Malaysian billionaire Jho Low.

PSI and 1MDB had insisted that these information were "tampered with" but have yet to produce evidence.

Sarawak Report stood by its report, and today produced several versions of documents which were said to be tampered, showing no difference.

Justo was arrested in Koh Samui, Thailand on Monday on grounds of blackmail and information theft.
