If there is a ranking for the most criticised politician in the nation, Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan would be amongst the strongest contenders for pole position.
Since the introduction of the goods and services tax (GST) and his infamous 'GST-free' fried rice recipe, the Umno information chief has been constantly showered with brickbats.
Even in the month of Ramadan, netizens have not spared him.
The deputy minister had posted an image on Twitter, which stated that Ramadan is the abbreviation for "Remembering Allah Morning, Afternoon, Day And Night."

Twitter user @marwanmasri responded: "Ramadan - Remember Ahmad Maslan Afternoon, Day And Night”.
Whereas @BeliaBenciUMNO came out with their own version, "Ringgit Asyik Menjunam Aku Dengar Aku Nangis (The ringgit keeps depreciating and when I hear about this, I tear)".
On the other hand, @wandoit tweeted: "Ramadan - Relax Ahmad Maslan Ada Disamping Anda Najib! (Relax, Ahmad Maslan is by your side, Najib)".
Other users urged him to remember Allah all the time and not only during the month of Ramadan, while one warned him, "Remember, your days are numbered."
In another tweet, Ahmad Maslan also said that people claim politics is about perception towards leaders and parties.
"That is emotional and slanderous politics. Rational politics is based on reality, and not slander," he added.
Th second tweet, which also drew criticism, comes amid allegations that RM2.6 billion of 1MDB-linked funds had been transferred into Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s personal bank accounts.
Najib has denied any wrongdoing.
