1MDB today said it was already the most investigated company in the country and these probes would be the best way to get information.
This was after DAP's Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua earlier today challenged 1MDB executive director Arul Kanda to hold an open dialogue with him on the debt-ridden company.
"Pua is no doubt aware that 1MDB is the most investigated company in Malaysia.
"We have shared and will continue to share, all relevant information to the lawful investigating authorities such as the auditor-general, attorney-general, Bank Negara Malaysia, police, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
"These independent, thorough and professional investigations are the appropriate forum to determine the truth about 1MDB," Arul said in a statement today.
Pua's allegations recycled
Pua had made the challenge after Arul in an interview said 1MDB was an "open book", insisting that a slew of questions have yet to be answered including whether the company's RM41.8 billion debt had ballooned to over RM50 billion.
However, Arul ( photo ) said many of Pua's allegations were "recycled" and which answers can be found in the 48 press statements issued by 1MDB since January 2015.
"In addition, the auditor-general has presented an interim report answering many of the questions raised, in early July 2015 to the PAC, of which Tony Pua is a member, and has committed to issuing a final report by the end of 2015," he said.
Arul added that 1MDB was focussed on implementing its rationalisation plan "despite the recycled allegations by Pua".
"A trial by certain media or by certain opposition politicians, outside of due process and the requirements of the law, will not benefit anyone," he said.
