The allegations that outsiders are interfering in the administration of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) are untrue, said Deputy Inspector-General of Police Noor Rashid Ibrahim today.

Noor Rashid said all administrative decisions were made by the IGP Khalid Abu Bakar, assisted by him as the deputy IGP and the department directors.

"Nobody is interfering in the PDRM's administration [...] we decide on our own," he told reporters after opening a training course for the Taser Electro Shock Gun, Evidence.com and Axon Body Camera system at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) in Kuala Lumpur.

Noor Rashid was commenting on allegations made by the former Police Special Branch deputy director Abdul Hamid Bador who was reported in a local news portal yesterday that outside parties interfered in police matters.

Last Thursday, Abdul Hamid was transferred to the Prime Minister's Department as the deputy director of security and transnational issues.

Earlier at the event, Noor Rashid said to date, 5,275 officers and personnel had undergone the TEA system course.

"We hope this course will strengthen PDRM towards attaining the vision of world class policing," he said.

A total of 83 personnel are taking the three-day course which began today at the Tactical Simulation Centre, Pulapol.
