Don’t be intimidated by the red shirts

YOURSAY ‘Khairy, you did this before. What’s your opinion on this?’

Red shirts to take on 'yellow rowdies'

Tholu: What are these NGOs really up too? Are they joining the Bersih 4 rally to protect the protesters as they claim that the police will not be able to guarantee their safety (“...the authorities will definitely have problem guaranteeing the safety of all the yellow participants...”).

Or are they going to gatecrash the rally to protest against the Bersih 4 organisers and participants? (“He [Jamal Md Yunos, head of the coalition of NGOs] added that he would call off this gathering, which was also aimed at showing support for the federal government, if Bersih did the same).

I am confused by their contradictory statements which are swinging from “protection” of and “confrontation” with the Bersih rally participants.

An even more puzzling statement by Jamal is, "We won't initiate any violence, but if the yellow team does, then our people dressed in red will be able to defend ourselves".

They might as well say, “We are going to be agent provocateurs in the Bersih rally and initiate violence”.

RR: It is absolutely wrong and atrocious for the home minister and police to allow Umno-backed NGO hooligans to beat up innocent rakyat of all races who are calling for the resignation of corrupt leaders.

The rakyat are demanding free and clean elections, not attempting to bring down the government though it is highly corrupted by its own admission with the abuse of billions of ringgit.

GE14NOW!: What is the point of showing off your martial art skills? By doing so, you are suggesting that you intend to create trouble - but that is something that we have come to expect from you lot anyway.

That's what you get with this ‘bangsat’ government - thugs and thieves.

Anonymous_1421806811: These thugs have no place in Malaysia. They are the manifestation of the corruption and selfishness of Umno, non-tolerant to other views and believe laws do not apply to them.

I hope the police would immediately arrest them for they are nothing but troublemakers. Bersih has never sought confrontation with other groups, but these red-shirt idiots are definitely looking for one. They are there to provoke.

If they sincerely love PM Najib Razak, they should have their own demonstration.

Just Your Normal Rakyat: I hope all participants will have their handphone cameras turned on to record whatever is happening throughout Bersih 4.

If any fight occurs, please post the videos immediately.

Do not discount the possibility that a "red shirt" might be wearing a "yellow shirt" to start a fight or something else since they have already shown the propensity for violence with such displays in front of the Sogo shopping complex.

Tan Kim Keong: Intimidation is part of their primeval response. One cannot expect anything but only this from this segment of the community.

This is also the reason why they have been kept ignorant by their 'leaders' so that they can be manipulated and controlled.

Trueglitter: The unwarranted incitement by the coalition anti-Bersih NGOs in threatening physical harm to would-be Bersih participants through demonstrative acts of aggression and rowdyism would clearly be deemed utterly deplorable and unacceptable in any parliamentary democracy.

Without doubt, such an open display of obnoxious physical aggression cum bodily threats under guise of martial arts exhibition by the "red shirts" group would clearly demonstrate that the hidden hand within Umno-BN is busily scheming to avert the peaceful gathering for Bersih 4.

It has been emphatically acknowledged that "fortune favours only the brave" and accordingly all right-thinking rakyat should be motivated to answer the call of our conscience to arise and save our nation from the blatant corruption and ceaseless abuse of power by especially an emboldened Najib and his equally corrupt and obnoxious political cohorts.

The crusade of angry men and women is justifiable and imminent.

Headhunter: Do these samsengs think the people will be intimidated by them? Do they think they are above the law?

The police should take note of these and detain their leaders if they intend to physically confront the Bersih 4 crowd. Please don't wait until trouble starts.

Justine Gow: These are trouble-makers out to intimidate people from participating in Bersih 4. Any violence breaking out during Bersih 4 is likely to be instigated by them.

What is there to stop one of them from wearing yellow to beat up one of their own in red and hence providing so-called "justifications" to start beating up Bersih 4 participants?

Through the martial arts demonstration, they have already expressed their intention to be violent. So the planned gathering of these red-shirt men cannot be a peaceful one. What is the police waiting for?

Cascara: I bet some of them will be given the job of donning yellow Bersih T-shirts and provoke the red shirts so as to start off trouble and pin the blame on Bersih 4.

Democracy: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, you did this before . What’s your opinion on this counter-demonstration?

Come Saturday, watch out for agent provocateurs
