Expelled Wanita Umno leader can hold her head high

YOURSAY ‘Anina, you did what you believed is right and the truth hurts.’

After RM2.6b lawsuit, Anina loses Umno membership

StraightTalk: Former Langkawi Wanita Umno delegate Anina Saadudin's expulsion from Umno was expected. I’m not surprised at all.

But she should be wise not to join any other political party until the outcome of her law suit against PM Najib Razak, even it it takes months or years.

And on Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil's statement that "action will be taken against anyone who violated the party rules", can she look straight at her party president and repeat that statement?

Odin Tajué: Shahrizat's statement that the majority of Malaysians still supported Najib as prime minister shows either of two things - that she was lying right through her teeth and has had no feeling of shame about it or, like Najib and the rest in their nest of vermin and vipers, she is delusional.

The latter may be more likely than the former. Whichever is the case, what is clear is that the minds of these people have been so greatly disturbed and agitated by the millions and billions that they have allegedly stolen from the public, by their deceits and lies, that they have become completely discombobulated, disoriented, delirious, vertiginous.

Her charge that her party members must respect their president, whom as we all of sound mind consider fit only to be despised and reviled, not only illustrates their being aboulic due to delusion, but it also exhibits their being confused between what is right and what is wrong.

Truly, Umno is the most vile curse befalling Malaysia.

God Save Us: Hopefully the younger women in Umno will take a leaf out of Anina's book by responding to their innate feminine conscience and challenge the docile, subservient and condescending attitude that the older woman in charge is displaying.

For that crony generation it appears, a clean conscience, integrity, honesty and truth are irrelevant and unimportant.

Survival by any means even if it involves dishonesty, deceit and selling their soul to the devil is in their prime agenda.

There has been no pressing time more than now for change within the Umno ranks. The future of Umno and the country requires youthful idealism to replace the rule by threats and intimidation of the old guard.

Maybe the women will have to show the men the way.

Ferdtan: For once we have Anina, who dared to file a legal suit against Najib over the RM2.6 billion donation issue. It seems that only this Umno Wanita has balls. There has been no sound from the Umno men.

Keep on fighting Anina. You have the rakyat’s support, even though your motive is different from the rest of us. It doesn’t matter as long as the culprit is caught.

Anonymous_1372741039: Anina, sorry to hear about your expulsion from Umno. You did what you believed is right and the truth hurts.

Hold your head up high and don't even lose a night sleep and no need to shed tears. The world is full of hypocrites but it is still a wonderful world that Allah, the Almighty, created.

Do not lose faith and keep up the good fight. It is not the end of the world until the Almighty declares it so.

Slumdog: Anina, thank your lucky stars that you have been expelled from Umno. They have done you a great favour.

Nobody in their right mind would want to be a member of such a corrupt, racist and debased political party without any morals, integrity or any sense of decency.

Kalvin Rekhraj: The majority of Malaysians do not support BN as per the GE13 results, so the claim by former minister Shahrizat that Najib has the support of the majority is baffling

As for Anina, she has great courage in filing a legal motion against her former party leader. Though most know that nothing will come of it, it is about time the grassroots stand up to the party leader and demand answers.

The Mask: When the trap door was about to come down, the attorney-general’s services was terminated, the DPM was sacked, the position of the Bank Negara governor was compromised, the task force was dismantled, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officials investigating the "culprit" were either sacked or removed, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairperson was promoted to deputy minister, and Umno leaders were given "donation" in return for support.

Shahrizat, if you cannot see these as perfect ingredients for corruption, then you are worse than the teenager who stomped on the photo of "you know who".

I really cannot fathom how you and your other Umno cronies can ignore such clear signs of manipulation, except perhaps you have already got part of the RM2.6 billion.

Bumiputhran: Let’s face it. The majority of Umno leaders are the rent-seekers and beneficiaries of the privileged benefit of the national wealth looted or otherwise.

Therefore the head of the party can do no wrong as long as the largess keeps coming to these Umno leaders.

Hamzah Paiman: This proves to the world that we're indeed an upside-down country. Where good is bad. Bad is good. Where evil doers are free. The innocent jailed.

Where fighting for justice is a crime. Spewing hatred and lying are glorified. Malaysia under Umno. Welcome to the upside-down country.
