YOURSAY ‘It appears the red shirts are having a rally for the sake of having a rally.’

Jamal now invites Chinese, Indians for 'red shirt' rally

Clean Malaysia: It started with ‘Perhimpunan Kebangkitan Melayu’, and now halfway through, it is 'Perhimpunan Rakyat Bersatu'.

I wonder if they have time to change their T-shirt logo, and I look forward to see how their T-shirt will now reflect ‘unity of the rakyat’. Nevertheless, I pray for the return of sanity to those people involved.

Odin Tajué: (Red shirts spokesperson) Jamal Md Yunos, you planned to demonstrate in Petaling Street and Bukit Bintang, areas which are predominantly Chinese.

You had planned your rally as a demonstration against the Chinese. You staged martial arts moves to show your prowess and in the hope of intimidating the Chinese. Your publicity materials and other forms of communications suggest violence and bloodshed.

And now you are inviting the Chinese to participate in it? You are a moron. I believe moron is ‘bangang’ in your language. You are a ‘bangang’.

LKT: It does look like PM Najib Razak needs to dig much deeper into his RM2.6 billion to ensure that the red shirt rally can hit a crowd size of 400,000.

The usual RM200 attendance fee does not look like its enticing enough to get the usual bunch of ‘bangang’ to ‘tunjuk muka’ (show their face) when the weather is so foul with haze.

Free T-shirt complete with lunch and tea break plus appearance fees should be costing Najib quite a tidy sum not to mention the "consulting fees" for Jamal and his gang of opportunists.

Doc: Let me get this right. Gabungan NGO-NGO Malaysia feels that the Chinese are the instigators of Bersih 4 and they are also the cause of this nation's problems. So they would like to take to the streets to protest against these Chinese Malaysians.

They picked Bukit Bintang for their street protest site as this is a predominantly Chinese area to drive home this point and maybe pick a fight with the Chinese in that area and cause May 13 2.0.

Now they want the Chinese and Indians who ‘share the same understanding and thoughts with them’ to join them in taunting their own Chinese brothers?

Only Umno is filled with feeble-minded fools, who are blindly loyal to their party and president and have this super warped sense of reality.

Anonymous: No, thank you, not after so many nasty statements you made against the Chinese. Why invite Chinese and Indians? Go ask MCA and MIC to join you.

Speechless: The red shirt rally is an anti-Bersih rally with a racial spin. The Bersih 4 rally was held to fight for clean and fair elections.

Since the red shirt rally is anti-Bersih, what it means is that anyone who joins the red shirt rally is fighting for dirty and unfair elections. Who in his right mind would join them?

Jamal's invitation to the Chinese and Indians, with the caveat that they must not wear yellow, shows that he is really confused as to what the red shirt rally stands for.

It appears that the red shirts are having a rally for the sake of having a rally.

Gaji Buta: Jamal, it’s good to hear that you appear to be abandoning the racial rally stance. It is up to you and your people if you want to support the PM.

But the purpose of the rally must be made crystal clear so there are no loose cannons who still think it is a racial rally against the Chinese.

Turvy: Red is the colour of the communists. Red Army. Red flags. Red Dawn. East is Red. Red Scare.

The Red flag is the oldest symbol of the socialists and the communists. Red flags were waved in the French Revolution and subsequently, other revolutions.

In labour's fight against capitalism, red was the blood of fallen workers. The flags of communist Russia and China are both awash in red. “Red” and “Red scare” were words showing fear of communism.

So, Jamal, something subconscious working to spring the red shirts or did you just pick the colour to match yellow?

Beeep!: Jamal has declared time and again this is a rally to counter Bersih 4's "Chinese rally" which has offended Malay dignity. Now he wants the Chinese to join his red shirt rally.

He insults the thousands of Malays who were at Bersih 4 and now he confuses his original cause/call by asking Chinese and Indians "with the same thoughts" (?) to join him. What is he really baying at?

Anonymous 706151436780066: Jamal should start with sacking his PR consultant and communications adviser.

Then he can go have a long teh tarik followed by 16 hours of meditation to clear his clouded sparse cerebral cells.

Until then, Jamal sounds like a jolly joker who is confused and confusing. The only single commitment he has given is to make havoc in Jalan Bukit Bintang on Sept 16, Malaysia Day.

For that, he has earned himself an urgent interview by the inspector-general of police (IGP) and, yes, a psychiatrist.
