Please, no more procrastination, go sue Al Jazeera

YOURSAY ‘The most stupid act was kicking the reporter out of Malaysia...’

Al Jazeera stands by Altantuya report, denies agenda

Bystander: The Malaysian government should and must take legal action against Al Jazeera without further delay over such allegations, which strongly insinuate the involvement of the premier and Abdul Baginda Razak in the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Bare denials by the premier and threats by the inspector-general of police (IGP) are not enough. Any procrastination in doing so would surely be regarded as admission of guilt.

CQ Muar: The question remains, why must everybody 'conspire' against PM Najib Razak and Abdul Razak Baginda if they are really innocent?

Up to now, Najib's only responses were of his non-involvement, and that he'd never met Altantuya. Such easy and simple answers will not absolve him from the truth.

Ericlcc: Najib should fly to Doha and appear live on Al Jazeera news and refute the documentary point for point, then demand Al Jazeera retract the story, or else he will sue.

He can also bring Razak Baginda along for assistance. This way his international credibility and integrity will be intact. No point in appearing on TV3 or RTM.

MinahBulat: Why sue Al Jazeera? It has given the concerned parties the right to reply. There is also no need to fly to Doha, I think the premier’s department should just invite the journalist over to Putrajaya.

Bring along other parties allegedly involved in the Altantuya case like Razak Baginda and Rosmah Mansor, and take questions from the journalist. I think this is the best opportunity to clear everyone.

Fear not, if you are innocent, Najib and Razak Baginda. Malaysians will back you.

Dont Just Talk: Najib claims that the Al Jazeera ‘ Murder in Malaysia ’ documentary is the latest conspiracy to oust him.

First, it was the furore over the commission of the two Scorpene submarines with RM500 million paid to Perimaker, a company owned by Razak Baginda. That was said to be a conspiracy to oust him.

The murder of the late Mongolian model, Altantuya, as well as and the late private eye P Balasubramaniam’s statutory declaration alleging the involvement of Najib, was the second conspiracy.

Then the fuss over the donation of US$700 million wired into Najib's personal account was the third conspiracy.

The Bersih 4 rally calling for Najib to resign was the fourth conspiracy. This was followed by Al-Jazeera’s ‘Murder in Malaysia’ documentary which was the fifth and latest conspiracy.

Never in the history of Malaysia, have there been so many conspiracies, one after another, to oust the sitting prime minister of the country and yet he holds on to the post for dear life.

Bumiputhran: For justice to be served, Sirul Azhar Umar must be given a chance to have his say on his alleged attempt to blackmail Najib for AUD17 million.

Likewise, the Special Branch operative named in the programme should also be given the opportunity, post-broadcast, to have his say.

The issues raised originated in Australia. Sirul is in Australia under the custody of its government. Therefore the judicial forum to examine these issues should be located in Australia where there is certainty of procedural fairness.

Attempted blackmail is a serious offence just like the case of Xavier Andre Justo, who is now serving a three-year imprisonment in Thailand.

RakyatBiasa: First it was Sarawak Report , they blamed the opposition. Then it was The Edge , they blamed the Chinese/DAP/Media. After that The Wall Street Journal , they blamed the Jews. Now it’s Al Jazeera, who are you going to blame, Najib?

Anonymous_1377321471: The government should stand firm and take immediate legal action against these parties for reporting falsehoods.

This is the best way to uphold the dignity of our nation and the Malay leaders who have been threatened in the past months.

With legal action, truth will surface and dignity regained. We remain loyal and will love our country always.

Roar For Truth: Yes, this is an amazing opportunity for both Najib and Razak Baginda to sue Al Jazeera and win billions in damages since it is an Arab-based news company. Arabs are friendly donors after all.

Patriot1: The whole world doesn't care two hoots whether Najib remains as premier or not. It's our problem not theirs, so there's absolutely no necessity for foreign news agencies to cook up any stories.

To them, the spirit of journalism is truthful reporting. If the Malaysian government thinks otherwise, just sue them and let the truth be unveiled.

Anonymous_1408265047: The Australian authorities are aware that Sirul's life is in danger and they have a pretty good idea who is behind it.

The most stupid act was kicking the reporter out of Malaysia because it merely confirmed in her mind exactly who the main player was in the whole affair.

BH Yap: Probably the whole world is against the government, except for the one who donated RM2.6 billion.
