Liow slams red shirt rally, wants all rallies banned
Though Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak said the red shirts had done very well to gather peacefully and made no provocation in their recent rally, MCA president Liow Tiong Lai strongly disagrees.
"MCA disagrees with statements that the September 16 rally was peaceful and that the participants abided by the laws of the country," Liow said in a media statement at the MCA briefing today. However, he did not specify whose statements he was referring to.
