Mah, try quitting over 'Cina babi' instead

YOURSAY 'Mah is fooling Gerakan members by trying to be a hero for the wrong cause.'

Gerakan chief: I’ll quit cabinet if I fail to stop hudud

Dont Just Talk: Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong, the hudud bill will not see the light of day in Parliament and even if it does, the support for hudud in Parliament will fail miserably, with or without your support.

If you want to be a hero, Mah, just ask publicly for the '1MDB PM' Najib Razak to account for the RM2.6 billion wired into his personal accounts.

And by the way, how much of the donation to Najib did Gerakan receive for the 13th general election. You were one of the many ' kaki bodek ' (sycophant) who showed up in KLIA to welcome home the hero of 1MDB after his trip to New York and Milan.

Malaysians are not stupid, Mah, and do not try to be a hero when you are just another eunuch politician.

Mushiro: Mah is fooling the few members in Gerakan by trying to be a hero for the wrong cause. The chances of hudud being passed in Parliament is almost negligible.

The bigger problems in the country that are leading the country to bankruptcy and causing hardship to the people are the 1MDB scandal, Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), toll hike and many economic issues, and Mah has maintained his complete silence on these.

Anonyxyz: Gerakan and MCA should know their existence should be long irrelevant. We are battling for the country's survival as we struggle to navigate high cost of living with low income coupled with blatant robbery, which both these parties' leaders benefited from.

Key PAS leaders who have been collaborating with the Umno hawks for months are probably beneficiaries of the donations.

Mah belongs to the elite group of privileged cronies. His existence is due to the votes of the Umno supporters blindly supporting their leaders who continuously con them with imaginary racial rights. What is there for him to shout?

Democrat: Could you please explain your Umno counterparts in the Kelantan assembly who voted for the hudud bill?

Anonymous_3e86: It won't make any difference whether he stays on in the cabinet or not.

Anyway, Umno played along with PAS' hudud plan to break up Pakatan. Now that they have succeeded in doing that, hudud will be a forgotten agenda.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and PAS fell for it hook, line and sinker.

EmLaw: Hello, first and foremost, hudud will not be passed. But you will have credibility and the respect of many of us by stating that if you cannot get the 1MDB to be debated openly and transparently in Parliament, you will quit.

Smallbigblob: Mah, how useless can you be? You can talk about hudud when the entire rakyat is agonising over toll hikes, GST, the shrinking ringgit and the unceasing increase in the cost of living?

And you choose not to see the biggest elephant in the room, 1MDB.

Anonymous_40f4: What about the Umno-sponsored red shirts screaming "Cina babi" and Umno minister suggested that Chinese should be slapped?

Any comments from the Telok Intan voters who voted for BN?

Proarte: Hudud is a political game for PAS and Umno. It is used to intimidate the minority non‑Muslims and to assume a false sense of Islamic rectitude as the Malays have been brainwashed into thinking that hudud is God's law.

Even those Pakatan Harapan Muslims who subscribe to the 'common manifesto' are simply not brave enough or confident in their Islamic faith to state that hudud is an unjust and barbaric law, which is an affront to modern civilisation and its values.

Their position is that Malaysia is 'not yet ready' for hudud ‑ what pathetic cowardice.

BN and PAS know that hudud cannot, and will not be implemented in Malaysia because it will lead to the destruction of the fabric of the nation. It is merely a political point scoring exercise which continues to hoodwink the hapless Malays who have been pawns to the powers-that-be for generations.

When will the Malays say 'no more' to being shackled politically, intellectually and economically by the corrupt Malay-Muslim political elite?

Speaking Sense: Hudud is just one issue over which Mah should resign if he is really a man with principles.

But he does not need to wait for hudud ‑ he has already demonstrated his ineffectiveness in this Umno cabinet and his impotence in the excesses of Najib's pogrom against the truth, and should quit immediately. He will not be missed.

Apapunboleh: Mah can quit, but then will crawl back into the cabinet through the back door like MCA after making tonnes of excuses.
