PAS: SRC statement raises even more questions

PAS today said it was odd for SRC International Sdn Bhd to issue a statement which raised more questions and speculations than answers on the issues surrounding its links to the prime minister.

SRC International's statement came a day after Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said told Parliament it was inappropriate for Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to reply questions regarding donations from SRC International as the case is under investigation.

What is more puzzling said PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man was that SRC International's statement was related to an alleged charge sheet against Najib which was said to be false and the money trail from the company to Najib's personal account which was first raised on July 30.

“After two and half months, SRC International comes forward to say they are holding an internal inquiry and believe the allegation is based on a false document.

“Does yesterday's statement by SRC International mean that (its managing director) Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil is prepared to face MACC investigations into the RM42 million which was deposited from the company into Najib's accounts?” he asked.

He added that the MACC and police, should answer these questions as the ball is now at their feet and they should reply to and clarify SRC International's statement.

Tuan Ibrahim said the MACC had issued a statement on Aug 22 that they had failed to trace Nik Faisal and fellow director Suboh Mohd Yasin along with controversial businessperson Jho Low.
