Chua, were 'donations' reflected in BN parties’ accounts?

YOURSAY | ‘Chua is like another monkey with a wrench in the sinking ship's engine room.’

Soi Lek sheds light on where some of Najib’s RM2.6b went

TimeWill Tell : Very strange for former MCA president Chua Soi Lek to suddenly remember events that he did not earlier. If this was true, why was the then-deputy prime minister (DPM), Muhyiddin Yassin, not aware.

What Chua Soi Lek is implying now is that the election was bought with Arab money. Is that acceptable? If only ‘part’ of the RM2.6 billion was used for the 13th general election (GE13), what happened to the rest? This has been the question that many have been asking since the issue came up. These are questions, assuming there really was such a donation.

Chua Soi Lek is like just another monkey with a wrench in the sinking ship's engine room. He should write scripts for Chinese TV dramas.

FellowMalaysian : Chua Soi Lek has just clarified two important issues. First, in GE13, he confirmed Najib Abdul Razak has distributed some funds to component parties of BN just before the election. Secondly, the controversies and secrecy surrounding the RM2.6 billion donation has affected the people's perception, confidence and trust against BN and Najib appreciably to the extent that it has caused serious dents on BN's image.

I believe Chua Soi Lek is a 'straight-forward' guy and he would not be speaking out in this manner with malicious intent, especially if it would harm MCA’s or BN's interest.

Justice Pao : These funds, if actually disbursed to BN component parties, will prove that GE13 is a buy-election even though BN won with a minority of the votes. Could BN have lost the elections without this RM2.6 billion? If the Arabs had donated this money, then are Najib and BN beholden to this generous donor and are putting the security of Malaysia at risk?

Election Commission, this is an open admission of bribery and corruption involved in GE13.

Simple Malaysian : So Chua SL is saying some of the funds were given to BN component parties. Has this been reflected in any of the parties' accounts? Let’s start with MCA. If so, was it banked into party accounts or to the respective presidents' personal accounts as well? Wonder if any of the parties will support Chua's statement.

Patriot1 : This clown still doesn't get it! People are questioning two different things. One, where is the source of the money and two, why is it banked into his account and where it went!

The first question was never answered and second, the RM2.6 billion was never revealed to any of the Umno members until it blew up. If he received the money in trust for Umno, why was it not reflected in any of Umno's records? What difference is it from pocketing Umno's money?

People just cannot accept RM2.6 billion as donations. The Palestinians, whom our politicians passionately claim to defend are oppressed everyday and are in dire need of funds, never received this kind of aid from their Muslim brethren.

So it defies logic anyone would donate to the tune of RM2.6 billion to us when we have no say in Middle East politics. Understand?

Shibboleth : Chua, speak the truth and get sued for defamation, then you are making a difference. If not, just have your 'bak kut teh’ in the morning and shut up.

Anonymous _ 4031c : It's very difficult to explain on behalf of Najib where the money came from and how it was spent. Only Najib can explain this and he has been stonewalling. To prevent the wall from collapsing you have had all sorts of graffiti from race and religion to country being smeared with red paint to hold all it all together. That graffitised mural is one ugly muddled picture.

RCZ : Do we really need Chua's two cents worth? We need accounts and documents to prove where the money came in, from where, how much was used, for what, how much was pocketed, how much remained and where is it? We all know the answers to when and from where it came. After that, grand theft?

Prudent : He is telling us nothing new that we did not suspect. Aiyah, why did Najib go through all the hassles? Drop all the pretense and fund BN parties directly and openly with taxpayers' money in GE14. With all the enforcement agencies at his control, there is nothing that the opposition, the taxpayer or even the electorate can do about it!

Spirit of Malaya : What a load of rubbish from another ‘has been’, which is fit for the dustbin! Come on doc, you can do better than that! Are you saying that YOU know better than Muhyiddin Yassin about the monies found in Najib's personal account when the ex-DPM himself confessed that he didn't know about it?

Why don't you just say what Zahid Hamidi said upon becoming the new DPM - that you have met the generous Arab philanthropist! And that will win you more brownie points with the PM!

Pemerhati : Najib can get Chua to say and do anything he wants because he has that VCD hanging over Chua’s head. In that VCD Chua can be seen to be doing things which are outlawed in Malaysia and the punishment for those things are several years in jail.

RM2.6Billion Duit Haram : So Chua, how many millions do you get? Did you spend all the money on the election? If not, where is the money now? Was it deposited into your personal account? Just like Najib, please account for all the donation from Najib. In trying to cover up for Najib, you are opening another bigger hole for Najib and for yourself.

G aji B uta: Worst case scenario could be it was a loan and has to be paid back. Could this be what the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the high allocation in the Budget for the PM’s Office is for? Timing seems about right.

Anticonmen : None of these so-called leaders have any sense of integrity or honour. The EC should declare the entire election as null and void.
