Civil servants and the 'incapable, worthless cows'

YOURSAY | ‘This type of civil servant is very much needed in the country.’

High-ranking officer probed for 'running down' Najib at dinner

Odin Tajué: This is an excellent example to illustrate the need for Malaysians to have a good command of English.

Maria Tay's (we shall assume that that is her real name) English is not much better than that used by Umno’s cyber troopers posting here in Malaysiakini .

In the third paragraph of her post reproduced in the news report, she did impart the idea that the lady tan sri has described the Malaysian government, Najib and a (whichever) minister as ‘some incapable, worthless cows'.

Had she used the singular ‘cow', she might (‘might', because one cannot really be sure from her sub-standard English) have imparted the idea that the lady tan sri's condemnation of the parties already mentioned has made her (the tan sri) seem like ‘some incapable, worthless cow'.

Quite beside her poor command of English, she is also incapable of writing even well enough to forestall mis-comprehension.

Fair&Just: What is a worthless cow compare to what the whole wide world knowing about the truth: corruption, the alleged stealing of public funds and wholesale plundering?

Keanjin: The high-ranking officer must be telling the truth about Najib; these are the people who know him inside out and we believe more and more of these high-ranking officers are going to follow suit.

Just like the three Umno branches which first asked him to step down, now there are 34 branches , soon three will be 340 branches.

Saya Pun Nak Cari Makan: This type of civil servant is very much needed in the country. He/she is only calling a spade, a spade. So are they going to punish this officer for telling the truth?

What she is saying about Najib is uttered more than a million times a day by the majority of the population.

Walk into any coffee shop or even market, one can never fail to hear Najib's name being mentioned in a bad light, much worse than being called a worthless cow.

Only those ‘well-fed’ leaders pretend to believe that Najib is performing his job properly. Amusing, isn't it?

Senior Citizen: Yes, good one. Most rakyat also want to scold Najib and his wife, and the whole bunch of incompetent ministers too.

Anonymous_1371637464: Folks, get a life. The words may be indiscreet, but the sentiment is indeed shared by a very large section of the electorate.

Besides, this would be laughed at in any other democracy, but maybe that's the real problem for Malaysia.

Sabahan: The senior civil servant from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) says how most civil servants think of our useless ministers, who are seen as businessmen out to steal as much money as possible from the rakyat by creating very expensive projects and offering concessions.

Oh Ya: Why is Bintulu MP Tiong King Sing allowed to quote from a social media posting but other MPs were disallowed to do likewise when raising questions on 1MDB?

Vijay47: Malaysiakini , can you please let us know who the officer is? We want to recommend her for one of the annual awards that Malaysiakini gives.

The truth is the truth is the truth. We don't have to wait until the cows come home.

Zahid: I can smell mastermind behind plot against Najib

Tulan: Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he could smell the mastermind behind the 34 branches which are said to be against the Umno president, and wanted Najib to step down.

Pity, he cannot smell the RM2.6 billion in Najib's pants. Don't forget he is the DPM who has a lot to gain if Najib fell. I wonder who is the real mastermind.

Anonymous 29051438068738: Obviously the fellow, 'a senior party leader' no less, is an experienced sniffer.

Perhaps he should, for the sake of those whose olfactory receptors are less well-developed, explain what the smell is like so that they too may learn to smell 'masterminds'.

In any case, may I humbly request Zahid to smell the mastermind behind the 1MDB heist and the Altantuya Shaariibuu killing?

Malaysians will be ever so grateful.

The Mask: “Use the proper channels according to party regulations or existing laws," said the home minister.

Zahid oh Zahid, with your boss derailing and blocking every channel, what other channel is left?

Even in Parliament, questions were rejected or half answers were given. Are you so blur that you cannot see this?

Pisasu7: Sniff, sniff, sniff. Now Zahid, try sniffing the lamp posts in town first.
