The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) today grilled former 1MDB chief executive officer Shahrol Halmi for four hours and is still not done with him.
"The PAC today heard from Shahrol about the administration of 1MDB starting from when it was the Terengganu Investment Authority (TIA) in 2009 until the formal foundation of 1MDB in September 2009.
"The PAC also heard Shahrol's explanation regarding the foundation of the 1MDB-PetroSaudi joint venture," said PAC chief Hasan Arifin in a statement today.
The committee has summoned Shahrol to appear before them again next Monday.
"He will be called again on Monday at 10.30am," an aide to Hasan told the media in Parliament.
A press conference on PAC's meeting with Shahrol would only be held after the second session.
Besides Shahrol, the PAC also questioned 1MDB's legal chief Ivan Chen, and Treasury deputy chief secretary (Investment) Mohd Isa Mohd Hussain, who appeared on behalf of Treasury chief secretary Mohd Irwan Serigar.
After questioning Shahrol next week, the committee will then grill current 1MDB boss Arul Kanda Kandasamy.
