Wan Azizah: No bloc vote for budget as it was 'futile'

The opposition did not pursue a bloc vote to reject Budget 2016 last night because it would have been 'a futile exercise', said opposition leader Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

"We did not discuss doing it yesterday, because you would have had to mobilise (MPs).

"We thought it would be a futile exercise, so let's us focus on other means," Wan Azizah told reporters outside the Parliament lobby today.
