‘Sex callers’ show M’sia not just a failed but also a sick nation

YOURSAY | ‘Piety, virtue and honesty are simply gov’t slogans to distract the people.’

Rafizi: Youths pestering me for sex a point to ponder

Abasir: "Jokes aside, out of 10 messages asking for sex, nine are from Malay youths," said PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli.

But the joke is really on Malaysians who did nothing to protest the RM1 billion handed to the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim).

Anonymous_40bb: Welcome to Malaysia. Get down to the ground and see the reality, Islam is not present there.

Prostitution, drug abuse, bike races on the North-South Expressway, alcohol abuse, rape, sexual assault, gang fights, etc – much of which are committed by Malay youths.

No wonder some decent Malay youth want to join the IS - to clean up the mess on the streets.

I don't condone killing even if all the vices above have been committed, but it’s time to bring Jakim to the forefront of the problem. Don't just hunt for rich Muslim celebrities and politicians.

Turvy: I should be angry, but that will not lead me to the cause of such things. Nor is this an isolated incident that one can dismiss and go on with one's life. It is serious because it is just one part of the gross debris in the moral mudslide that we are in as a nation.

And the slide has been set loose by the loose morals of a self-seeking leadership, for whom piety, virtue and honesty are simply slogans to distract the people whose trust they abuse.

Those who see through the duplicity are engage in their own dishonest acts because there is no such thing as right conduct.

Mosquitobrain: This is what we have built and achieved after more than 50 years of independence - sub-quality education, high rate of dropouts, jobless youths, low morals, drug addicts, single mothers, Mat Rempits and the list goes on.

Our institutions are run by corrupted leaders who are non-performers but only look after their self-interests.

We are getting from bad to worse. Ours is not only a failed but a sick nation. Most probably 'Rukunegara' has lost its meaning and has been forgotten by the people.

9174382725382: Sex is an animalistic instinct just like other areas of human emotions. But throughout the years of evolution some of these emotions had become more humane, but not sex.

Take, for example, hunger - when one is hungry he/she will not go rampaging for food belonging to others.

Even with the education of religious subjects purely based on form or harping on outward conformity, the human mind will not rule out something like rape when the urge is there.

Most savage crimes are committed by the urge in the absence of the mind of control, awareness or empathy.

The awareness of religion has declined to the extent of calling someone ‘pendatang’ or getting others to eat inside a toilet. These are the untrained minds or the minds of barbarians.

Headhunter: Doesn't this pooh-pooh the nonsense about one religion’s practitioners being more pious than others or my religion is better than yours?

At the end of the day, it is your upbringing, your education and your social status that makes you what you are.

By the way, Rafizi, I'd be very careful if I were you. This could be a honey-trap.

Continue-The-March: Umno Baru’s education policy has reduced the students at primary (SRK) and secondary schools (SMK) to become unemployable pass-outs.

It feeds them ignorance, half-truths, religious and racial narrow-mindedness and in the worst case, a dependency syndrome.

Without access to other language skills, for example English, their knowledge base is restricted to Malay. Go to any bookstores/libraries and you will understand the limited access to knowledge in Malay.

Sixty years after Independence, Umno Baru’s education policy has literally destroyed the Malay rural masses and made them irrelevant in the global arena.

There are no job prospects in rural area, so the rural Malay youth have to go the city to earn a living and this is the situation on the ground, especially with the spiralling cost of living.

So much for Abdul Razak Hussein’s education and economic policies and legacy. Umno Baru’s policy has destroyed the Malays.

Cks: Poverty and hardship push them further away from Islamic values? A lot of rubbish in my opinion.

Rafizi is learning to be a polished politician by the minute. Afraid to offend, he no longer speaks his mind, losing his forthrightness which has been his brand. What about drug abuse and incest?

On the other hand, ask alleged supremacists like Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, Mohd Ali Baharom (Ali Tinju), Jamal Mohd Yunos (Sekinchan Ikan Bakar) and all the bigots, they will probably tell you the nine you mentioned are all Chinese using Malay pseudonyms.
