MyKMU: DAP must explain RM1.2b said to be from Israel

Pro-Umno portal MyKMU.net has challenged DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang to explain allegations that the party had received RM1.2 billion ‘donations’ from an Israeli source to fund its 13th general election campaign.

In a posting today, the portal said it was putting the pressure on Lim as he had similarly pressured the BN government to explain the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ scandal implicating Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

“He (Lim) is so busy demanding explanations on the RM2.6 billion donation received by BN even after the MACC confirming that the donation was not from 1MDB and did not involve the rakyat’s money.

“Now we are urging Lim Kit Siang to explain the issue of RM1.2 billion that the DAP received from Israel for the 13GE according to claims by Zuhdi and Razali,” said the portal.

The portal was referring to claims made by Penang chief minister’s former special officer, Mohamed Razali Abd Rahman, that the DAP was offered RM1.2 billion in return for permission to set-up an Israeli military base in Malaysia if the opposition managed to capture Putrajaya in the 13GE.

Similar claims were also repeated by PAS research director Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki.

“Malaysians are also demanding that MACC investigate this issue based on Zuhdi’s and Razali’s statements. More so when several police reports were also said to have been made (on the issue),” it said.

The portal reminded Lim that he had once threatened to sue parties who made the allegations against DAP.

It questioned why therefore no such action had so far been taken against Mohamed Razali.

“In an attempt to deviate from the (RM1.2 billion donation) issue, Lim Kit Siang is busy demanding the MACC to reveal whether it had recommended prosecution against Najib over the RM42 million from SRC International that was allegedly transferred into his account,” it said.

MyKMU said it noted that the MACC had yesterday denied whistleblower website Sarawak Report’s article that the agency had concluded its investigations and recommended no less than 37 separate charges against Najib.

“The denial is not enough for Lim Kit Siang. But what about demands from the rakyat for his own explanation on the RM1.2 billion from Israel?” the portal asked.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had on Sunday said that Umno's insistence on playing up racial allegations against the party was an attempt to divert attention from its own failure to address public concerns over 1MDB and the RM2.6 billion donation scandal.
