A man was found dead, believed to have been shot at several times from close range, at Jalan Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur today.

In the 2.10pm incident today, S Surya Kumar, 41, was found dead in a pool of blood in the driver's seat of a Mitsubishi Triton four-wheel drive.

Sentul District Police chief ACP R Munusamy said the victim was believed to have been shot at by several suspects who were in two four-wheel-drive vehicles - a Toyoto Hilux and Mitsubishi Triton.

"Based on preliminary investigations, the victim's vehicle was blocked by the two vehicles before he was found dead," he said when contacted by Bernama , today.

He said the victim, a contractor, had three gunshot wounds on his chest and face, while police found spent and live bullets at the scene.
