PKR dares Zahid's daughter to debate on migrant workers
PKR Srikandi (puteri wing) has issued a challenge to Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's daughter to an open debate on migrant workers.
This was after Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid became embroiled in a raging debate over her father's plan to bring in 1.5 million Bangladeshi migrant workers.
"Srikandi would like to extend an invitation to Nurulhidayah to an open debate with PKR Srikandi chief Aishah Shaik Ismail for her to respond to all the issues that have been raised.
"I hope that Nurulhidayah will accept this challenge and not to only crow in the media," said PKR Srikandi vice-chief Farah Afzan Faridi.
Farah said Nurulhidayah and her father's previous statements on the deal to hire migrant workers were insulting towards the youths.
"She (Nurulhidayah) as a icon for youths has failed to defend the rakyat's interest, particularly the youths in the country," she said.
Ahmad Zahid had defended the migrant worker deal, challenging youths to take up "dirty jobs" to prove his point.
This prompted popular parody Facebook page Amran Fans to declare to its over 890,000 fans that Nurulhidayah should take up her father's challenge and do blue-colour jobs.
Nurulhidayah hit back , describing the page's administrator and commenters as having brain cells that "couldn't connect" and revealed that she had in the past worked as a waitress.
She added that Malaysians today were lazy compared to the past.
