PARLIAMENT The Swiss government has yet to reply to a request for an initial response from the Attorney-General's Chambers on Switzerland's request for mutual legal assistance (MLA) on its 1MDB probe.

Law Minister Nancy Shukri said the initial response request was made on Feb 4, the same day the AG's chambers received the MLA request.

"However until now, an official response has not been received from the Swiss government," Nancy said in a written reply to Parliament yesterday.

She was responding to a question from Ramkarpal Singh (DAP-Bukit Gelugor) on what kind of information the Swiss AG's Office (OAG) had asked for in its 1MDB probe.

The Swiss OAG suspects former Malaysian officials and 'persons unknown' are involved in the misappropriation of US$4 billion from 1MDB.

However, it has said that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is not a suspect in its probe.

Najib has denied any wrongdoing in the 1MDB scandal.
