An Umno leader has accused Dr Mahathir Mohamad of working with the Jewish-backed foreign media to bring down Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Mahathir has shared a common target with the opposition and the foreign media to achieve their common goal, said Umno supreme council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.

"Mahathir's agenda is to bring Najib down and a few people are working with him (towards this end). I was told he is using the foreign media (for this purpose).

"You know, some (foreign) media are controlled by the Jews. The Jews are not happy with what we have achieved in this country," the deputy agriculture and agro-based industries minister told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.

"It could be Jews, it could be anybody who are against us; it is just a marriage of convenience," he said.

He, however, did not pinpoint any particular foreign media

Tajuddin also accused this group of indulging in gutter politics to remove the prime minister.

"They are so narrow in their objective. They focus only position.

"Who do they want to replace Najib as prime minister? Can they guarantee that if somebody takes over Najib, this will be better for Malaysia?

"What guarantee are we going to have, God knows," he said.

"Mahathir is doing well. He lives in a big house, he travels everywhere in the best transportation, he is having good meals everyday. What is his problem?" he asked.
