Police questioned the woman who sold the Jalan Pinhorn bungalow to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for four hours today.

Phang Li Koon arrived at the George Town district police headquarters at 9.30am and left about 1pm today, The Star reported.

Police are investigating her for the statutory declaration she prepared detailing the circumstances of the bungalow sale.

Her statutory declaration was read out by her relative, state executive councillor Phee Boon Poh ( pix above ), at a press conference on March 22.

In her declaration, Phang said she has no business deals with Lim or the state.

Umno is accusing Phang of selling the bungalow to Lim as part of a kickback deal involving state land at Taman Manggis that was sold to a private party.

Umno said the bungalow was sold at below market value because of this deal, but Lim and Phang denied the allegation.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission is investigating Lim over the matter.
