One ABC documentary but three confusing gov't replies

MP SPEAKS The 'Four Corners' TV documentary on Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was aired by Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) network a few days ago and has created furore and confusion in Malaysia and driven our inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar, Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak and the Prime Minister's Office into panic mode, causing them to make contradictory statements pertaining to the show and as a result, adding more confusion to the already muddled situation.

Our top cop Khalid has jumped the gun and without having to wait for any investigation, has claimed that the show was done out of vengeance as a retaliation against the recent arrests of two Four Corners reporters by the Malaysian authorities.

The Prime Minister's Office, however, has issued a statement asserting 'Four Corners' supported Putrajaya's position regarding the funds deposited in Najib's account being a donation from the Saudi royal family.

However after that, Salleh promptly added another twist to the drama by questioning the reliability of ABC after Dr Mahathir Mohamad dared the government to publicly air the documentary in Malaysia.

Was the show published out of spite or has 'Four Corners' cleared Najib of corruption over the Saudi donation?

One documentary, three different replies from three top officials. In this land of confusion, who is the Malaysian authority to “interpret” the 'Four Corners' show?

I therefore now challenge the “fighting fit and ready to take on anyone” Najib to take on 'Four Corners' by inviting its news editor to a four-eyed meeting in Putrajaya to clear the country's tarnished reputation and put an end to all the confusion caused by his donation-gate corruption allegation.

The question is, is Najib a brave Bugis warrior that he claims to be or is he just a pussycat?
