Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin is now under intensive care after successfully undergoing surgery last night.

A post on the Amanah Facebook page said Hanipa is being warded in the Kuala Lumpur Hospital's neurological intensive care unit.

It is understood that Hanipa had suffered a brain haemorrhage.

He was rushed to hospital yesterday evening after fellow lawmakers noticed he was not moving from his seat in Parliament during a break.

"It was so obvious, everyone getting up during the break (except him).

"He just sat down and couldn't get up, (Klang MP) Charles Santiago and I went to ask him, and he wasn't responding, he slumped one way," DAP's Ipoh Barat MP M Kulasegaran had said.

"We talked to him and he wasn't responding. So we carried him out of his chair literally, and took him to the clinic."

Kulasegaran said Hanipa earlier told them that he felt like vomiting.
