Opposition lawmakers will march from the Parliament building to the Bukit Aman police headquarters tomorrow morning to urge the release of PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli.

Calling it the "MPs march", DAP whip Anthony Loke said the MPs would also submit a memorandum to inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar on this matter.

"We will ask the police to stop tarnishing the sovereignty of the Parliament.

"The whips of Pakatan Harapan have discussed with the opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah (Wan Ismail)," he added.

Loke said the march would be led by Wan Azizah, who is also PKR president.

He also invited BN and PAS parliamentarians to join the rally.

“This is not limited to Rafizi, but it’s a about the parliamentary institution which should not be violated.”

Rafizi was arrested at the parliament gates yesterday under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act for disclosing a classified document.

This has caused an uproar in the opposition against inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar, who has been instructed to clear they way for MPs' to-and-fro the august house by Parliament.
