The Sarawak United People’s Party's (SUPP) central election committee chief Mathew Chen today warned party members to refrain from making any press statements.

“Party members wishing to make press statements must first get the approval of the party’s central election committee failing which disciplinary action will be taken against them,” he told a press conference in Kuching today.

Chen, who is also the party’s operations director, said SUPP has been allocated 13 seats to contest under the BN platform in the state election on May 7 and the party would not disturb any other seat where it does not have its candidates contesting.

He urged all party members and supporters to work together and be united to make sure all the 13 candidates win their seats.

He said voters should give them the chance to serve and judge their performance after five years.

Chen also said the party’s manifesto would be revealed after nomination day (April 25).
