S'WAK POLLS Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has warned that chaos will prevail if the opposition governs.

He said if they cannot even reach a consensus over seats to contest in the May 7 Sarawak election, what more in administrating the state or nation.

"And this is even before considering the formation of the cabinet or determining who is eligible for which post. There will be chaos in Sarawak!" he said in his latest blog post.

The prime minister also claimed that some opposition politicians continue to peddle slander and indulge in personal attacks.

"I believe the people of Sarawak can clearly see the farce and masks of hypocrisy of the opposition, and make the appropriate decision when going to the polls.

“Let's not be fooled, let's maintain the progress and prosperity of the Land of the Hornbills, let's continue to prosper and grow rapidly with the Barisan Nasional blue wave!" he was quoted as saying by Bernama.

In the Sarawak polls, DAP and PKR, who are allies in the Pakatan Harapan coalition, are locking horns in six seats, and have blamed each other for this imbroglio.

Meanwhile, Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem, who is Sarawak BN chairperson, said the state BN was working hard to transform the state and the people of Sarawak, especially the rural communities, to improve their standard of living.

He said said BN would continue to ensure that basic infrastructure, utilities and public amenities were improved throughout the state.

"No matter where you live, you will be able to attain a better standard of living and quality of life. I have a plan to transform Sarawak into a developed state that will lift us to greater heights and ensure a brighter future," he said in the preface of the Sarawak BN manifesto 2016 for the 11th Sarawak state election.
