Johor’s Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar has advised all parties to refrain from interfering in the good relationship that he has with Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

Malay-daily Sinar Harian quoted the sultan as stressing that their good relationship is the strength which has contributed to Johor’s current development and prosperity.

“I know many are envious of the good relationship between me and the menteri besar. My advice: stay out of other people’s business.

“He (Khalid) often have an audience with me to present certain things, discuss and seek my views before taking any actions or make any decisions,” said the sultan in his address at the launch of Malaysian Parliament and State Assembly Speakers Conference 2016 today.

Earlier last month, the son of Johor state assembly speaker Mohamad Aziz has claimed that there is a plot to topple Khaled.

In a Facebook post, Shukur Mohamad alleged that the person behind the move is a deputy minister.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said, however, has dismissed the allegation of a plot against Khaled.

At the time, Johor Umno Youth was also among those who had come to Khaled’s defence, citing economic growth and development under his administration.
