PKR Youth wing Angkatan Muda Keadilan said that they will be mobilising in full force to campaign for the two Amanah candidates in the upcoming by-elections at Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar.

The party’s stand is that they will only be campaigning for Amanah, he said.

However, asked if PKR Youth will also go against PAS, the party's wing secretary Chang Lih Kang stressed that the focus will be on BN.

“Our target is very clear, we are against BN. We are not going to campaign against any party except BN,” he said in a press conference at the PKR headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

When pressed further on whether PAS might still take offence as they have a deep rivalry with Amanah, Chang said that would not be their problem.

“We do whatever we think is right, but if what we do will antagonise them, that is not our problem,” he said.

He also added that as it is the holy month of Ramadan, their campaigning will not be negative.

Amanah’s candidates are Azhar Abdul Shukur for Sungai Besar and Dr Ahmad Termizi Ramli for Kuala Kangsar.

The Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections will take place at the same time on June 18, with the nomination day happening tomorrow.

BN, PAS and Amanah have all fielded candidates in both by-elections, making them a three-cornered fight.
