YOURSAY | ‘When we first saw Jho Low, he did not appear to be intelligent, too.’

He doesn't look smart, Najib's first impression of Zuckerberg

Inworldnotof: Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has brains which he uses gainfully, and works hard at the same time so our quality of life is enhanced by his endeavours and enterprise.

On the other hand, as Malaysia's PM, Najib Abdul Razak is letting the whole world wonder how he thinks he can get away with the alleged con and scam emanating from 1MDB, of which he is chief of everything to facilitate its humming, hemming and hawing into international infamy as alleged heist of the century. Or is it millennium?

One inspires hope and pride. The other shame for all the alleged deception and robbery and stealth he thinks no one sees.

The Analyser: Insecure Malaysians always assess people by their looks and how they dress. All it does is show how shallow the people of this country are.

How many times have you seen comments on these pages that criticise a person on his/her appearance?

Malaysians are generally very immature when it comes to assessing their fellow men. Just take a look at your 'leaders'.

P Dev Anand Pillai: It is the brains that matters, not the looks, race or religion. Back here in the 'land of endless possibilities' one can be a dude dressed immaculately in suits or clerical gowns and the people here being dumb, immature and fools thanks to the education system, will continue to vote and support them. That is the difference.

Kit P: Our beloved Najib is much, much smarter. He is able to garner RM2.6 billion in ‘donations’, which went into his personal bank account.

That was a genius transaction, which Zuckerberg certainly has not been able to pull off.

Anonymous_1390110279: How would our PM know what smart looks like? He signs monstrous transfers of money he doesn't understand. He has money in his account he doesn't know where it came from.

He sits at the head of a cabinet made up of alleged complete airheads. It is a completely different situation, one where talent, intelligence and educational effort matter, not where being a crony or being a son of someone considered a VVIP matters.

Anonymous_1398751861: Zuckerberg's first impression was probably, “He doesn't look like a crook.”

Senior Citizen: When we first saw Jho Low, he did not appear to be intelligent, too.

But after the exposure by The Wall Street Journal that he had more than over 100 accounts with BSI Bank Singapore and a few companies registered in British Virgin Island to receive the funds, Jho Low is actually ‘super smart’.

Pemerhati: Quote: “The prime minister was given a tour around the complex and had a meeting with senior officials of Google.”

Did he meet the CEO of Google, Pichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Pichai, the Tamil Indian American who is of the same ethnicity as the Hindraf people and the many other Malaysian-born Tamils whom he and his colleagues and bureaucrats allegedly find various reasons to deny citizenship while allegedly allowing hundreds of thousands of illegal Muslim migrants from other countries to obtain blue identity cards?

KKKSSS: Well, Najib makes no mention about this multi-billionaire's simple office set-up. Everything is basic - table, partitions. No gold-plated toilet, no branded handbag collections.

Oh, one more thing, please remind them not to drop balloons in welcoming you, it’s rude.

Anonymous #7856234569: There is a saying, "Ivory does not grow in dog's mouth". Zuckerberg could do with an explanation of what it means.

Goldee: The Facebook founder is not only not smart but ‘stupid’ when compared to some others.

Indeed, Zuckerberg has to work very hard to earn his billions, whereas some can receive billions without having to lift a finger. So who is smarter?

Zuckerberg is wearing a round-neck T-shirt whereas the other person is wearing a full suit. Appearances are always very deceiving.

Unspin: It is a bit rich to hear a guy who cannot speak in public without a prepared speech or a teleprompter, who avoids press conferences, and who uses proxies to answer difficult questions on his behalf, to say that Zuckerberg “does not look very smart”.

Doc: Please don't look down on us mere mortals, Najib. No everyone is blessed with the uncanny ability to procure billions of dollars in ‘donations’, that too in just one day with money deposited in your own private account.

Fernz: Ironically, this comes from a feudalistic ‘datuk knows best’ character. Why go to Facebook to learn about informality? Look at AirAsia.

Anonymous #40538199: One thing sure about Zuckerberg is that he doesn't looks expensive like some of the politicians.

Not Convinced: Last year, Zuckerberg said he would set aside 99 percent of his Facebook shares, which was worth about US$45 billion, for philanthropy following the birth of his daughter.

Najib, too, is relatively wealthy as he receives a lot of ‘donation’. Will he do the same?

Vijay47: Zuckerberg didn't look smart? Najib, that was a mirror.
