DAP's Damansara Utama assemblyperson Yeo Bee Yin said her car had been sprayed a second time with red paint by someone who had been disturbing her for the past three years.

This happened the night after she came back from the by-election campaign in Sungai Besar, she said.

"That's scary as he knew when I was back," Yeo said in a Facebook post today.

"He has been disturbing me, my family and office for the past three years by sending us repeated messages and robot-call hundreds of times on our mobiles and offices," she added.

Sometimes, Yeo said, he would even put items such as notes or breakfast on their cars.

Recently, he had started spraying her car and threatening her to reply to him or to meet him, she said.

Yeo said she had reported him to the police three times this year, with the first case, which she reported in March, currently under investigation.

The man had been remanded for three to four days and will be released soon, she said.

"Please pray for the safety of me and my family," she said.

According to the police reports, the first report she lodged was on 22 March, when one of her employees received a phone call from the man, whom she said was a former DAP member.

Yeo (photo) also said that she had received several threatening emails from him.

"If you take care of both of them and are responsible to them, nobody will be getting hurt," an email that he purportedly sent to her on May 2, 2015 read.

Another email sent on May 27, 2015 supposedly said: "Once again, be aware of your car. You will receive something again, but hopefully not accident or car breakdown. Sixth sense told me something will happen."

More threats via WhatsApp

Yeo also said that she had received more threats via online messaging application WhatsApp.

In a report to the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), she revealed that the man called her phone and office hundreds of times a day.

"Since 2013, I have been consistently disturbed by this man. He has gone to the extent of disturbing my sister's office and mine.

"My office is a service centre and because of the netcalls that he makes daily, nobody could reach the office and hence my office has consistently received complaints."

In the same report, Yeo also said that he has sent an email with an attached photo of a knife, threatening to commit suicide.

On May 30 this year, she had discovered that her car had been sprayed with red paint, which was when she lodged her second police report, she said.

The day after she came back from the Sungai Besar by-election, where she was helping with the campaign, Yeo said she found her car had been sprayed with red paint a second time, again outside her house.

She hoped that immediate action will be taken against the man.
