Crown prince has pendrive with info implicating FAM

Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has claimed to be in possession of information related to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).

In a statement today, Tunku Ismail said the information and activities within the FAM are contained in the pendrive.

This includes the media personnel that the FAM always uses including former footballers in Malaysia, the amount of money allegedly taken by the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership and given to the FAM as well as a “rubbish auditor's report” given to the crown prince by his “high-ranking friends in Kuala Lumpur”.

“Maybe it's time for football supporters of this country to see the truth and judge for themselves. I have a commander in India who always says, 'don't invite a sniper to a shooting range',” he said.

The crown prince also reminded that the rakyat's money should only be used for the rakyat.

“Not for football and politics. Please take action on the issue of player salaries that has not been resolved,” he added.

The crown prince had earlier trained his guns on quarters who had criticised the decision of four national footballers to retire from the national team.

“You commented about the retirement of some players and making statements as if they did not serve the country and win anything with the national team.

“Why is it so difficult to respect their decision? There's only one thing you should say about them or to them, which is 'thank you'.

“Thank you for their sacrifices all this while. That's it. You don't need to show me and the current generation that you as old-timers are struggling to accept that the world and time have changed."

Tunku Ismail said he also found it strange that these quarters could accept and stand the “30 years of corruption within the FAM”.

The decision by four national footballers to retire from the national team last week had clearly raised questions especially among local football fans.

National team captain Safiq Rahim and Aidil Zafuan Radzak, both who play for Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), announced their decision last Tuesday, and they were joined by club teammates S Kunanlan and Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal two days later.
