Kedah MB: Foreign intervention a hidden agenda to topple leader

The move by a foreign country to intervene in the management and administration of the nation is seen as a hidden agenda to topple the leader, said Kedah Menteri Besar Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.

He said that as a nation that had achieved independence for 59 years, Malaysia did not need any foreign interference in determining the country's administration.

"We do not want any foreign element to determine and take over whatever we have developed. We do not need foreign intervention to determine the future of the government and leaders.

"The people must look at the problem because many allegations had been made by the foreign countries aimed at toppling the leader," he told reporters after attending the official opening of the state legislative assembly sitting at Wisma Darul Aman in Alor Setar today.
