The police will not allow the planned #TangkapMalaysianOfficial1 rally on Aug 27 to be held in Dataran Merdeka because the organiser did not get permission from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), said inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar.

"If well follow reports, DBKL did not allow (the organiser to use) Dataran Merdeka, meaning they will have to find another place where the owners will give them permission

"Eventhough time is short, they're supposed to make their request 10 days before the rally, but if the place they ask for is appropriate we will consider it.
