All's well in Penang Gerakan - so said the party's two top leaders today.

Penang Gerakan chief Teng Chang Yeow said the party has managed to iron out its internal problems after meeting with party president Mah Siew Keong.

“I want to tell the media that everything is okay, Teng said.

"We (Teng and Mah) had a four-eyed meeting on Thursday, we managed to come to an understanding and found several approaches to deal with the issues," Teng added.

"The media can ask about it, but we will tell you very little as most will be kept between Mah, me and the central leadership," added the state BN chief.

Both leaders did not meet the press after the event to elaborate on their discussions during the four-eyed meeting.

Teng said the president should have been in Paris, but he chose to attend the Penang Gerakan state delegates meeting.

"It shows how important the party is to him. He was here to listen to the delegates," Teng said at the event held at the party's headquarters along Jalan Macalister.

Teng was referring to the recent internal party squabble where former national deputy chairman Dr Thor Teong Gee resigned from his post.

Thor quit all party posts after he was publicly criticised by the state vice-chairman Oh Tong Keong, for allegedly not being qualified for the Sungai Pinang state seat.

Following this, other party leaders criticised party leaders for airing dirty linen in public, and a gag order was imposed on such matters.
