Bersih 5 was launched peacefully on Penang Island today, without any show from the pro-Umno red shirts.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng was pleased, saying "we do not want any problem, we want to make our demands for a clean elections peacefully".

Accompanying him at the launch were Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah, Penang DAP chief Chow Kon Yeow and Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim.
