'Under attack' Najib sure doesn’t act like a man innocent

YOURSAY | ‘It’s the same old trick. When cornered, play the racial card.’

Expect phase 3, Najib warns of pair out to split nation

Anonymous 1890491455255851: Stop pinning the blame on everyone, Mr Prime Minister. Your head is buried in the sand whilst this country is going down the tubes.

Why are you still even the prime minister when evidence clearly suggests you have been derelict in your position and proven to have used your position with the help of dodgy friends to allegedly commit a huge financial crime against this country?

Wg321: At last PM Najib Razak has realised that attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali cannot protect him anymore when the Swiss authorities begin criminal proceedings against the 1MDB thieves; the US Department of Justice (DOJ) commences civil proceedings in one or two months' times to recover money allegedly stolen from 1MDB where Najib's name was mentioned 36 times; and the Singapore Monetary Authority has also already started criminal proceedings against those involved in 1MDB.

Najib can silence his critics in the country with an iron fist by using the Sedition Act, Sosma, Official Secrets Act (OSA), etc. How is he going to silence the relevant authorities from overseas with his Sedition Act, etc?

Maybe ministers Abdul Rahman Dahlan or Salleh Said Keruak can give him a helping hand against the “phase three attack”?

Gerard Lourdesamy: Najib, you and your wife have singularly split the nation and brought it into disrepute. It is the BN under Umno that has been playing the race and religion card since 1969.

The 12th general election was not about race but the endemic corruption and mismanagement of the Umno-led government. What is so special about Umno that it must rule the country forever? Only God is eternal.

The Malays need to wake up and decide what sort of future they want for this country. Dr Mahathir Mohamad is doing that for them. At least, he is honest enough to recognise his mistakes and has the foresight to know where we are heading as a nation.

Odin Tajué: My dear fellow readers, when an alleged cowardly criminal is being interrogated and faces the possibility of severe punishment either directly or indirectly, he breaks out into cold sweat despite the heat of powerful spotlights trained onto his face, he shivers in fright, he may wet his trousers, his eyes open wide, he speaks in a panicky fashion, he accuses anyone and everyone else in the hope to wriggle out of the predicament he is in.

We are seeing such a thing here, except the interrogation is not an inquiry executed in a harsh manner, but the evidence of an alleged criminal action and the weight of guilt closing inexorably, relentlessly in.

No, I haven't imagined the scene of a typical interrogation described above; it was recounted once to me by a senior police official.

CQ Muar: Najib, you're good at pointing fingers faulting others except yourself. The point is, why must you be the target of hatred if you'd been an honest and sincere PM? Fancy even a simple handshake between Mahathir and Anwar could cause you such anxiety and jitter.

You must be very nervous and scared that your government will make its exit, and your glittering world will come to a close. Najib, do admit you have caused enough damage to the nation with all those crimes, mismanagement and high-profile corruption.

If you're indeed free of wrongdoing, why aren't you suing all those who had "unjustly" accused you, including The Wall Street Journal, Sarawak Report, DOJ (for referring to you as MO1)?

In all honesty, you must be stopped before this country is brought down to its knees, and the rakyat suffer as a result of your misdeeds.

Najib, you can't keep on accusing the opposition alliance of being out to topple you unjustly. It's clear as crystal all those scandals are justified. At the end of the day, the truth will inevitably prevail.

Anonymous 29051438068738: All this from a shameless conman whose three-phased self-serving racket has gotten the country to be labelled a kleptocracy (the very first in Southeast Asia) and has caused more than 10 countries to undertake civil and criminal investigations.

Drngsc: It’s the same old trick. When cornered, play the racial card. How about discussing 1MDB and how much money was allegedly stolen, MO1?

How much money did you also pocket from SRC? We have to get you out, for the sake of the future of Malaysia.

Vijay47: Najib, you are hallucinating again. But I can understand that coherence and lucidity often take a turn for the worse when enemies, real or imagined, appear closer, as they say, than they seem in the mirror.

You allege that two other "individuals" are embarking on some mission to disrupt the nation, implying that you on the other hand, are the towering glue that binds the country together.

This assumption of your personal role in nation building is regrettably not a conclusion shared by many others; on the contrary, most people firmly believe that Malaysia's fortune would be better served if you discreetly or otherwise fled the scene, your wife in tow.

By the way, I don't recall anyone appointing you "Savior of the Nation". You accuse the two of entering into phase three. How poetic, considering that you are firmly entrenched at 1MDB and MO1.

But do be cautious, your number may be up soon. In the meantime, don't stop taking the pills.
