PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan has confirmed that PAS would not be attending the Pakatan Harapan convention on Saturday.
"We are not attending because of DAP. We broke ties with DAP long ago," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
On the invitation by Harapan for PAS to attend the convention, Nasrudin said it was the coalition's perogative to invite anyone to the event.
The Harapan convention will take place at the Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC), Sham Alam.
Previously, Harapan secretariat chief secretary Saifuddin Abdullah said it was likely that the convention would give an indication of what the coalition will offer voters in the upcoming general election.
Harapan had issued invitations to both PAS and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
At this point it is uncertain if Bersatu intends to participate in the convention.
Meanwhile, Nasrudin said rumours of PAS meeting PAS to explore areas of cooperation were untrue.
"No. There were no meetings," Nasrudin said curtly.
