Amanah and PAS youth wings today urged Malaysia to cease diplomatic relations with Myanmar, following reported violence against the Rohingya community there.

"We urge that Malaysia freeze diplomatic relation with Myanmar and kick out the country's envoy to Malaysia," Amanah Youth chief Sany Hamzan told Malaysiakini when contacted.

He also urged Malaysia to recall its diplomat in Myanmar, to push for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene on the matter immediately and to send peacekeepers to the trouble region.
