The corrupt who manages to escape the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) dragnet can still be snagged under Malaysia's tax laws.

MACC chief commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad issued the warning today during his speech at a Corruption-Free Pledge-signing ceremony with over 150 Inland Revenue Board staff, led by its chief executive officer Sabin Samitah.

"Even if MACC's investigations did not reveal enough information for action to be taken under the MACC Act, these 'corrupt' who may feel that they can get away scot-free, they will not escape from IRB's actions," said Dzulkifli in his speech at IRB's headquarters in Cyberjaya here.
